This policy explains how Eccentric Enterprises Ltd handles personal information collected through this website. It is a general template and will be reviewed by legal counsel and adjusted to our actual practices before launch.
Overview
Eccentric Enterprises Ltd ("we", "us") operates this website to share information about our freight services and to let visitors request a quote or apply to drive.
We handle personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Information we collect
We collect only the information you choose to give us through one of the two forms on this site:
- Quote request — your name and, optionally, your company; your email and phone; and the freight details you enter: origin and destination, commodity, weight, pallet count, dimensions, pickup and delivery dates, service and equipment type, special-handling flags, and any message.
- Driver application — your name, email, phone, and city / province; your licence class and endorsements, years of experience, equipment experience, and cross-border eligibility; your availability, position of interest, and how you heard about us; any message; your consent; and, if you choose to attach one, a résumé file (PDF or Word).
What you should not send
Do not submit a Social Insurance Number, driver’s licence number, date of birth, banking or payment details, or medical information through this website. We do not ask for them here, and the forms are not the right channel for them.
Information collected automatically
We use privacy-focused analytics that do not set advertising cookies and do not build a profile of you across other websites:
- Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights — aggregate, cookieless page-view and performance measurements.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — an anti-spam check on the forms. It may store a token in your browser and receives limited technical signals to distinguish humans from bots. It is a privacy-preserving alternative to reCAPTCHA.
- Our hosting provider processes standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, user agent) transiently for security and reliability.
How we use your information
We use the information you submit to:
- respond to your quote request and arrange freight services
- review your driver application and contact you about it
- communicate with you about your enquiry
- protect the forms from spam and abuse
- meet our legal, tax, and safety-compliance obligations
We do not sell your information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or profiling.
Service providers
We share information only with the providers that run this website and our intake process, and only as far as each needs it to do its job:
- Vercel — website hosting and cookieless analytics (United States).
- Supabase — stores form submissions in a private database and résumé files in a private storage bucket.
- Resend — delivers the internal notification email to our dispatch or recruiting team (United States).
- Cloudflare — anti-spam checks (Turnstile).
Information processed outside Canada
Some of our providers store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that is the case, your information may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including lawful access by courts and government authorities. The exact locations will be confirmed before launch.

How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and driver applications for approximately 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is needed to meet a legal, tax, or safety-compliance requirement or to establish or defend a legal claim. Résumés are kept only while an application is active and for a reasonable follow-up period afterward. The final retention period is being confirmed.

Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to give you access to the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or honour the withdrawal of a consent you previously gave.
To make a request, email dispatch@eccentricenterprises.ca. We may need to verify your identity first. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the BC Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner.
Security
Form submissions are sent over HTTPS and stored in a private database that the public cannot read. Résumé files are held in a private storage bucket. Access is limited to authorised staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
This website and our services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the current version.
